One of the fastest growing industries globally today is Management Information Systems (MIS). Both the private and public sectors are seeking professionals trained in the field, who can bring together computer engineering skills, technical expertise in information technologies, and an understanding of business management. This program is designed to train students for the demands of this high-growth sector. The Bachelor’s Program in Management Information Systems is divided into two parts. The first focuses on information technology, while the second develops students’ competencies in business and management. As part of the technical information technology portion, students take courses in computer architecture, programming, database management, and computer security. Meanwhile, the business and management courses focus on skills such as accounting, finance, marketing, and strategic planning. Trained in these dual, interdisciplinary tracks, our graduates leave the program prepared to work in a wide range of industries ranging from private corporations, government offices, non-profit organizations, and universities.
